I have heat wrap on my exhausts. The manifolds arent wrapped but from the flange to the rear axle is wrapped. The tubes are stainless and I wrapped them coz they live pretty close to the floor. Its gets hot inside the car. This is an unavoidable side effect of having a car that parks on its chassis. Do you <anyone> foresee a problem with this? I use a heat shield around the starter. That works fine. < the starter wouldnt work when hot> Thats a common Chevy problem.

Paul just my thoughts I wouldnt think you would have any issues as once you get past the manifold a lot of the heat has gone, its wrapping the manifold that causes most of the problems that I have seen. This especially would not be a problem if you have longer tubed manifolds. Charlie mentioned seeing a lot of bikes with wrapped systems difference in most cases with a bike it that the exhaust is in full open air so it gets more cooling and the heat doesnt build up to cause such an issue.

WELL THE LAST BITS ARE ON EVERYTHING FITTED / TIGHTENED / ADJUSTED, FLUIDS IN WHY IS IT EVERY TIME I REBUILD SOMETHING I ALWAYS HAVE SOME BITS LEFT OVER? ANYWAY, IT STARTED SELECTED THE GEARS, NOT QUITE RIGHT SO ADJUSTED THE CABLE, EVERYTHING SEEMS FINE. OUT FOR A BLAST ;D WENT ROUND THE BLOCK CAME BACK , MORE ADJUSTMENTS, AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. RIGHT THE GEARBOX WON'T CHANGE INTO TOP GEAR AND SEEMS SLOW TO CHANGE, ANY IDEAS ANYONE? OIL IS TOPPED UP CHANGES BETWEEN 1st AND 2nd KICKS DOWN OK.
