Thought I'd show you what I've been building while I've been away. It was on ebay, I saw that there was a lot of Prefect panels and decided to build myself a trailer, over a few weeks I gathered all the panels and got started. Repaired the wings, cut all the rot out and made my own repair patches. I wire edged the wing repairs. i696.photobucket.com/albums/vv323/pop351red/DSC00408.jpg[/IMG]i696.photobucket.com/albums/vv323/pop351red/DSC00404.jpg[/IMG]Extended the inner wings left and right, just like this last weekend, bolted all the panels together to see where we're at. I went to the local scrappy for a bonnet and came back with one from a Corsa and got it for nowt which was a result, split the bonnet apart and I'm going to use the inner to strengthen the rear and reskin with the outer skin and bolt it together. I'm going to use the Prefect traction arms as my a frame bolted to chassis, but thats a bit farther on. The chassis is on the next agenda.

Corsa bonnet skin and Prefect tortion bars as a frame. Wheels, as they say, I had kicking about the garage and are from a Ford Sierra.

Hi mark, I dont think I'll need springs, I think a couple of hubs from a Ford and a tube axle, as it will only be for the camping gear, nothing to heavy, but you never know, I've got some Pop springs

Got the inner skin offerd up and marked out so that I could cut and trim it to size if need be, took quite a while but did not think I would have taken this long, but when your enjoying yourself time flies by. This is what I ended up with. This is the Corsa inner sjkin... Just got the outer skin to put on tomorow, looking good? ;D

I skinned the rear of the trailor today between the bonnet and the back of the trailor. As this is going to be pulled by my Pop in all weathers, I added a rain channel, and this is how it turned out. Roll on tommorow.

Got fed up with the bodywork, so I changed direction and made a start on the A frame, first cut the axle end off the traction bars. I then cut some 10mm plate and made 2 ends so that I could bolt it to the trailor chassic I marked it out and drilled 4no 12mm holes, cut the ends of the bars at a 45" angle and welded a plate to it, this is the result. I'll do the other side next weekend.
