Thanks - it's getting there slowly: You're right mate, I'm sure that with tall stacks on, there's going to be some associated performance loss, but I'm sure the look will more than make up for that! Charlie's having a word for me, I'll give Kenny a shout and keep an eye on ebay too.

Well Bakewell's off, but did manage to get about 20 miles on the rod yesterday. I bolted a smaller carb on, red-neck tuned it by ear/feel and she's not going too badly. It still needs fettling, plus a few other gremlins sorting - like the fact it's boiling the battery (!!) but overall I'm a lot happier than I was. Feels like some real progress at last! ...even had my d!ckhead neighbour come and complain about the noise

Didn't get a chance to do anything with it, Mick, need to get the alternator replaced first me thinks. The smaller carb has made a world of difference and I'll try bringing the pressure down, although plenty of folks seem to reckon that 6.5psi is a good number to aim at and I'm running just under 6.....
