That's one nice re-build. It looks like you had a great team working on this. Looking forward to meeting her in the flesh one day.

Well out and about at the end of last week looking for a few Fuelled Image pics and after almost a full season of trouble free motoring in which I have covered 2000 miles the bloody fuel pump gave up the ghost! It happened just as I was overtaking on the A614 Bawtry Rd no power, shit , and I grounded to a halt in a layby!! Now the Anglia is fitted with a Holley fuel pump as you probably know they are noisy, no noise and no tools bugger!!! Checked the fuse, OK switched back on nothing, check the pump and boy was it hot, OK no tools so I' hit with the tyreweld tin, there's life and she started oh well lets get off and take those pic's. Two miles down the road again the same but no brown trousers this time I abandoned the massive lead in the point table and headed home trying the avoid the big yellow towtruck named AA After 3 more attempts I was back home with a whole morning wasted A quick call the the clubs top mechanic (thanks Marcus) the pump was indentified as knackered. So then a quick call to 'Earls' a new Red Holley pump was winging its way to Worksop (excellent service it was here next morning) and my pocket is now £125 lighter, its fitted and I'm ready for Whitby Was on the phone to PK and it sounds as if the pump is an orginal part to the car when it was bulit in the 90's so can't complain I suppose that's hot rods for you Bomber

Hi mate I think I would have a go at stripping the old pump if I was you, at least that will give you comfort that it was a mechanical failure and not sumuts jammed in it that may be floating around in the tank ready to jam in ur new shiny one. Sorry I just always think of what could happen.....

Cheeky git just filled up with super unleaded (only the best), did worry about spilling the liquid gold thou when I removed the input and output pipes when I fitted the new pump
Going to strip the old pump just for interest sick.
