No photo's, but here's a bit of an update.... The 305 that was in the car was running on a few shagged crank bearings, so, i decided to build a 350 that i picked up from a very nice man at the seaside (estuary).. Obviously i wasn't gonna chuck an unproven motor into my ride, so i gutted it, right down going as far as ripping all core plugs out.. The block and heads were taken to the coaters, and all were blasted and coated in candy champagne polyester with a candy black underneath.. The engine block at present, is on a stand, and i've been nailing every gasket surface with a block and some flatting paper, they weren't bad, but why take chances? Oh, and i've honed the bores which look pretty good, then blathered everything in oil. The motor will be starting to reassemble on Saturday. As for the rest of the car, i've had to weld 50mm blocks to the seat bases cos i couldn't see shit when i was sat in it, now i can see the top of the grille shell. Jono's been rolling about under the dash planning where the spaghetti stuff goes as it's no secret about me "n" electric. All the small stuff seems piddly, nowt unsurpassable.... However, allthough i'm enjoying it, i am a little nervous about the motor, i've built more than enough bike engines in the past, but it's a bit daunting looking at a Chevy motor cos there seems to be loads missing compared to a bike engine..... no balance shafts, no unit gearbox, no, well, you get the jist... Back at it Friday, then all day Saturday should see most of the motor in one piece as long as i can find all the torque settings prior to that. Slowly coming together, but i know if i rush it, it'll go tits up, and with it being my first big involvement with a car, i wanna make sure it's right.. Partly for me, partly so you lot don't take the piss if it does go belly up
