Big thank you to Marcus for the MOT last weekend - service with a smile and a cup of tea as usual - no problems, just a couple of minors, front wheel bearing to tighten up, and one side parking brake to tweak a bit. It's always a bit nervy going for the once yearly inspection, wondering what you've missed. Nice feeling getting your pass out for the next 12 nmonths, but not as nice as the immense feeling of satisfaction at getting a new tax disc on Friday at the massive cost of NO pounds, nil, nada, zero, zilch, b*gg*r all................ sod the planet, the feeling of driving a V8 with your arm out the window on a sunny day should be available on the NHS ;D ;D ;D Nice to meet Adam (the owner of the blown Pop in the background) who was picking his car up from Marcus. He passed us on the M18 going home like we were stood still, not driving the Pop, but with it on a trailer behind his van

There is a lot to be said for running an old "uneconomical" car over a new Prius [shudder...]

I'd love to drive my old "uneconomical" car over a Prius - literally. Been working for a guy this week who's got a new Lexus Hybrid - the one like a big bread van - he hates it. Best he can get on it's trip computer is 29mpg. Wouldn't call that economical! He's only sticking with it because of the tax breaks he get's with it being a company car.
