Just nicely got home from this year's Atomic Festival, held at Sywell Aerodrome in Northants. We went with Carol and Jon and took the Tin shed with the caddy. I have to say it was the best event I've ever been to, everything was just right; Awesome Art Deco aerodrome setting including a really atmospheric hangar for the dances Amazing bands all weekend Great cars Great vintage caravans and motorhomes A drive in movie on Saturday night Brilliant air displays ( Look up Pitts Special G-EWIZ, the pilot is a hooligan!) Gassers, VHRA flag start drag racing, vintage stock car racing Food vendors selling nice grub from vintage vehicles The list goes on. All I can say is, if you are sick of car shows always being the same and you like a bit of nostalgia, book it for next year! Here are a few pics

Oh dear, Smirnoff, Pink Lemonade and Sherbet, in flamingo glasses. And this was drunk by... me and Jon! A pic of the chores being done. And the interior of the Green Onions '55 Chevy gasser. Sitting in there is like having an acid trip!
