The latest addition to the Chesterman fleet. Williams tot rod project. Just what we were looking for, no one else will have a tot rod like this! Think we may build it to match the cadillac. Comes with a suitable lawn tractor. Downside is, it's in Norfolk.

That is a cracking piece of kit, is it still in its fair ground state, or has somebody already started to modify it?

It's not off a roundabout, was one of those track cars, like a big scalextric, only seven feet long, so it's got proper Ackerman steering and bearing hubs. It's just had the guide pin cut off and it's been parked in a garden for years, chassis is solid, floors are shot (flat sheet steel, no issue) body is fibreglass and needs a good sorting but I'm pretty good with fibreglass repair (serial ex Lotus owner) so that bit should be no problem. Plan is to make it a two Seater instead of four, rear engine, try to keep the front end / steering original, new wider wheels (I've got some new cragar ss golf buggy wheels on the shelf), mint paint and chrome and a nice interior trim. Might match the cadillac, I've got some spare brocade seat material, enough to do a bench seat at least. William is beside himself, he can't wait to crack on.
