Latest update; Today was the big day. We poured the slab, it took 33.5 cubic metres in the end, not a bad calculation.

It finally stopped raining. Just in from my third power float; I reckon two more tonight and one early in the morning. Attachments:

Well done that man,it is one hell of a lot of concrete to pour in one go not suprised you are working under lights to finish off the polishing. Hope the overnight rain has not damaged the finish..... When the structure going up?

Went to bed at 3.45am, back up at 6.30 and finished at 10.30.
Finished pad came back pretty well all things considered. Wants polishing and sealing but it's all there now.
I'm a bit dazed and confused but at least it's finished.
Building arrives in 2-3 weeks, ideal really, I'll have recovered by then!

Just finished cutting the expansion joints in the slab; God, that c50 is strong! Had to cut the full length and two widths, total of 120 feet of linear sawing, two inches deep, cut it with a proper evolution floor saw with a new diamond blade and it took a solid hour and a half to get through it! So now the base is complete. Next instalment will be once the building arrives.
