Just got back from old warden following a fantastic weekend. Great company, great weather, a massive turnout of superb cars and a party atmosphere. Well done to the NSRA for putting on such an awesome show. A few pics to get it started:

Finally from me, my absolute best of show. Came in late, didn't get judged, parked way out of sight behind the trade stands. This is a 1930 flat front Morris Cowley on the original chassis, with a Daimler Hemi, Daimler limo axle and rod brakes. It's a total concept in and of itself; Everything here is British (except theWeber downdraught carb), everything is old, beautifully engineered and working like a sewing machine. A completely British rod, a style all of its own and copying nothing. It even retains its original artillery wheels, albeit with repro Firestone wide whites. It's not a highboy or a lowboy, maybe being so English its a Wideboy Or a Tallboy? And no paint in sight! Spent quite a while with the owner and his son, who were very patient with me as I nearly weed myself. He uses it big time, went to the hayride and towed his caravan! (See lovely raw blacksmith type towbar) You could not really call this a rat rod, it was and is a work of art, for example the radiator was re-cored but with incredibly expensive honeycomb matrix like the original, because he didn't want to put a grill on. Man, I could have taken this home and just looked at it! I realise it won't be for everybody but if you see this around, you really need to check it out Utterly utterly as cool as Cool Britannia could ever be, and not a quiff, turn-up or so-cal speed shop jacket in sight.
