OK well not much done over weekend as spent much of the time finishing of garden/lawn etc... anyway body back on cheers to Fillis and Pat for the helping lift ooo and of course the wife.. and because I had made the kick up crossmember as low as possible so as not to intrude in the cab I did over look one issue and that was my handbrake calipers no longer fit hence why they are for sale!!. I talked to Marcus on his idea of a disc fitted to the diff flange and using a spot caliper and decided this was the best way to go, I got a brand new caliper of ebay and had local machine shop turn up a stainless disc 12.7mm thick with spigot to fit the diff flange. Had a little mock up just to give me an idea of how it would look and fit etc I guess the extra weight will act as a damper for all the vibrations lol. also just had to see how the view in from the rear window looked. Traveling with work now for the next couple of days so that will be it now till next weekend, ta ra for now. PS Marcus get some work done lazy ass...... ;D

Looking great Mick, all that planning and something always throws a spanner in the works. That gearbox looks small compared with the C4 I have or it might just my poor memory.
See you when you get back, fancy Drayton?

Well I have made a start on the Motor rebuild as that is the next steps for the chassis. I need to get it and the gearbox mounted so that I can finish of the chassis and get it painted so that I can build it up for good the next time hopefully. I stripped the engine a few months back. I bought it with the impression it was a good lump with a reasonable high performance cam IT WASN'T . I had to have the block, crank and heads machined. Mains + 20 Big end +10 Cylinders +30 (was already done) Pistons cleaned up well so was able to resuse them. A quick ring gap check and on with the new rings. ring clamp on and in they go. new oil pump and pick up and some primer on the block ready for top coat. Hopefully get a bit more done tomorrow. so should be ready by end next week for a trial fit up.... . Mick

Are you just going to build the block for the trail fit? Just a thought to make it easy for the set up in the chassis. Looking good mate.

I did think about it but also need to look at clearance with headers and bonnet hight. I know its much more to handle as a full unit but?? wat you recon, I could drop a head on once it is in chassis to see??.
