Very nice. Spent many weekends away in a Corsair. Not sure how we used to get two adults, two kids and two tents and the rest of the gear in it to be honest! Looked like a speed boat.

Here is a few more pictures.... The car came from Port Elizabeth SA, it was owned by a VAG dealer and was in his private collection. It was fully restored about 3 years ago with a bare metal paint job and the 1.6 motor fitted. It still has the original suspension and brakes all new. Having seen the car at the importers unit in Castle Donnington I can tell you its like the day it was made no welding all the panel are steel and all the sopt welds are there on the underside its amazing. Sadly it failed the MOT just before Xmas...........No windscreen washers (cos they did not fit them in SA) A missing brake pipe clip......sorted got a set for £1.90. Headlamp dip switch not working missing spring in the switch.......finally got one from a guy on 105E.COM £15.00....sorted but they are like rocking horse sh*t. Its now passed the MOT and awaiting DVLA to issue an age related plate. Will update some more..............have some plans nothing radical nice period upgrades and Milton Suspension Once the car is here in Worksop I'll start a project thread..........but going to run her this summer to see how she works. New interest lets get this club going again I've missed it and you all Bomber

Well A Day is now much closer..........after some scary times I have finally been given the Reg No by DVLA thank god. A month ago I was wondering if I would ever be able to have the car registered and I would have been left with a nice piece of red metal to look at!! DVLA called the car in for a full inspection despite having all the correct paperwork from SA and the NOVA docs and MOT, they are apparently inspecting a large percentage of cars from SA and the Middle East. However relief on Monday when TGU 581E was reborn on my Anglia.
Hopefully collecting it next week and the fun can start.
