Maybe the isolater could be the new matt black... I once had a mini painted in it and never bothered to go any further.... Great work Mark Really pleased its going better than some of us....(Charlie, Flash, Marcus)

I remember reading an old custom mag some years ago about different coloured primers....
But this yellow isolater is like a 1950,s Vauxhall harvest yellow that was on the E type crestas/Velox...
And regarding the pace at which things are comming on even I can,t work it out It took me a few years to get the car on the road then to do that I needed help (cheers Marcus)..
Maybe I don,t wish to see his time and effort wasted ....
Oh well the plan is to have the other strut on next week, engine bay painted and everything cleaned and put back ready for the motor to be dropped back in ....

Cracking job gromit, really mate I'm most impressed with your efforts. Guess you need to build the paint up in primer and base coat the same as the the exsisiting so you get a good match. It alawys suprises me how much difference undercoat colour make to the final colour.

No Bomber matey it,s not going to be the same blue ,It,s going to be a darker blue in celly called Norwich Blue... First a couple of coats of grey primer then a coat of Black as that will make it darker . Thats if I do decide to use a black base .....

Great job, Mark. This is great, it's like being back in the '70's - fuzzy head from spraying celly in a small garage and everything coated in Barcoat 'cos you didn't know what your car had been painted in.

[/bI couldn,t be bothered to wait while next week to put some colour on so I decided to do it today ....
Put some primer on yesterday and nibed it down this morning...
Got some blooming on it but that will hopefully come out when wet and dryed then polished..
