Yeah, you can buy the engine mounts to hold a 302, it will go straight in, bit of faffing to do with the gearbox, the new AOD is cable oppersted and the new column will be designed for a linkage. Might be keeping the original truck axle yet, need to establish weather it has the 9" in it, due to the engine it should have.
The interesting bit will be getting the fuel injection to work, it is fairly simple injection though.

after finally getting the truck registered. (the new centralised DVLA application is a joke) I got to take it out for a spin for the first time!!! i got about 200 yards down the road before wondering what the hell i had bought. ive driven things with no power steering before, but not quite that heavy... and steering boxs, they suck! all made harder by me breaking the throttle pedal before we even set off. i finally got used to it, and my two passengers, Jon and Marcus prised the hands off the dashboard after the white knuckle section i took the truck around to Nemo's house to look at his ford ranger tailgate and then to Carl Powles's to talk about some plans i have for the back end. if only it were as easy as photoshop

So its started. Since the truck broke down on the way back from the lakes, the problem is getting worse and more frequent, cant put my finger on what it is, but after replasing all the ignition parts, im against spending any more money on parts for an engine that i plan on taking out. So because of that, its off the road, let the project begin. Got Marcus and Hoppy coming over this eve to pick some bits up and help me lift the bed off. Last night was spent taking the spare wheel carrier of to begin unbolting the bed from the rails and stripping the few wires off the rear.
