THIS IS THE GROMMET NOW IN PLACE NEXT UP THE DRIVERS DOOR, I'M A BIT DISSAPOINTED HERE CUZ THERE AIN'T NO ROT. :123: BUT I HAVE WELDED UP THE TRIM HOLES ONTO THE PASSENGER DOOR, THIS HAS A SMALL BIT ON THE CORNER THERE WE GO ALL DONE WITH THE TRIM HOLES ALL IT NEEDS A A COAT OF PAINT

GOT THE REST OF THE FRONT SUSPENSION BITS NOW. ECCENTRIC TOP MOUNTS AND AIR BAGGED FRONT LEGS TIME TO PUT THEM ON AND SEE WHAT CATCHES LOOKS LIKE SOME MORE CHOPPING OFF STRUGGLING TO GET THE CAMERA UNDER TO TAKE A GOOD PIC, BUT IS THIS LOW ENOUGH THIS IS A UNUSED 4" CUTTING DISCFOR COMPARISON SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET IT A TAD LOWER WHEN I PUT 60 PROFILE TYRES ON TYHE RIMS IN STEAD OF THE 70'S THAT ARE ON AT THE MOMENT NOW FOR SOMEWHERE TO STAND THE BATTERY, MADE A LITTLE TRAY TO LEVEL THE BOOT FLOOR WELDED A TAB ON THE BACK AND DRILLED SOME HOLES TO MOUNT IT TO THE BOOT FLOOR SPRAYED WITH PRIMER AND BOLTED TO THE FLOOR HAD THIS KICKING AROUND THE GARAGE FOR AGES, POLISHED STAINLESS FITTED A SMALL BRACKET TO IT AND MADE A CRANKED ROD SET UP FOR THE REAR AND A STRAIGHT ONE FOR THE FRONT, TO HOLD IT DOWN ON THE BATTERY, THE UNDERSIDE IS COVERED IN RUBBER BEFORE ANYONE ASKS. THERE A NICE SHINEY BATTERY COVER, I WILL CHANGE THE COLOUR FROM BLUE TO RED

NOW THE PETROL TANK, NOT SURE IF THIS IS THE CHEAPEST WAY TO KEEP MY PETROL OR SHOULD I HAVE GOT A LOCKING CAP. :123: WELL HERE GOES, I'M GONNA MOVE THE FILLER NECK INSIDE THE BOOT SO I HAVE GOT TO UNSWEAT THE OLD NECK AND FLANGE PLATE AS THEY ARE ONLY SOLDERED ON NEW HOLE CUT TO TAKE THE ORIGINAL NECK THE FILLER NECK NOW WELDED IN, I HAVE LEFT IT THE ORIGINAL LENGTH TO REDUCE THE RISK OF "SLOSH" OUT THE FILLER WHEN TANK IS FULL PLATED OVER THE OLD FILLER HOLE AND LET IN A SMALL TUBE FOR A BREATHER TUBE, MAY NOT NEED ONE BUT BEST DO IT NOW WHILE TANK IS BEING WORKED ON BECAUSE THE FILLER HAS BEEN RELOCATED IT IS NOW IN THE WAY OF THE TANK STRAP, SO I HAVE CUT THE ORIGINAL ONES DOWN AND WELDED A BRACKET ON THE TANK SO IT NOW LOOKS LIKE THIS HERE IT IS ALL DONE AND READY FOR THE BIG STRIP DOWN THE LAST BIT OF THIS JOB IS TO WELD UP THE FILLER NECK HOLE IN THE BODY TACKED AND FINISHED

GOT SOME NEW BRAIDED FLEXI BRAKE PIPES, SO MADE A BRACKET AND MADE SURE THEY DON'T CATCH THE AIR LINES AND VISA VERSA NOW TO THE THROTTLE PEDAL AND LINKAGE. I'M USING THE ORIGINAL 100E PEDAL BUT HAD TO EXTEND IT, I HAVE CUT THE LINKAGE ARM DOWN ASWELL I'VE WELDED A SMALL PIECE OF BAR WITH A SMALL HOLE DRILLED IN THE END, TO THE TOP OF THE PEDAL TO ALOW ME TO PULL A CABLE DRILLED AND FITTED IT USING THE ORIGINAL MOUNTS DRILLED A HOLE IN THE BULHEAD FOR THE CABLE TO PASS, DON'T LIKE THE WAY THE CABLE RUNS SO I'M MAKING A NEW BRACKET TO ALLOW THE THROTTLE TO BE OPENED FROM UNDERNEATH MADE A NEW LUG AND WELDED IT ON TO THE SHORTENED SHAFT AND SOLDERLESS NIPPLE. THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE MOUNTED TO THE MANIFOLD AND ON THE CAR SMALL SPRING FITTED TO ASSIST THROTTLE TO CLOSE ALSO DOING IT THIS WAY, I CAN USE ANY CABLE AS IT HAS A SOLDERLESS NIPPLE EITHER END.

How good is this thing gonna look when its finished ?? Those front struts look nice.How does the bag seal around the shocker shaft to stop the air getting out??? Cheers Marcus

GONNA FIT A TOW BAR TO MY 'E' , BUT I DON'T WANT TOO MUCH SHOWING, SO FIRST JOB IS TO SHORTEN THE REAR BUMPER BRACKETS NOW TO WELD THEM BACK TOGETHER AND GET THE FIT ON THE CAR RIGHT I'M HAPPY WITH THAT SO WELD UP AND FIT PROPERLY, THIS IS HOW IT IS NOW NOW FOR THE TOW BAR, ORIGINALLY IT WAS A 2007 FOCUS, A FREEBIE AT THAT, CUT THE SIDE DOWN TO FIT BETWEEN THE CHASSIS RAILS SHORTENED THE SIDE ARMS AND RE WELDED THEM ON BOLTED THE BAR ON AND MADE A BRACE BAR TO GO ACROSS THE UNDERNEATH OF THE BOOT FLOOR THIS IS THE ONLY BIT I HAVE HAD TO FABRICATE AND HAVE DONE IT OUT OF A PIECE OF 2 X 2 X 1/4 THICK ANGLE A 3MM THICK PLATE IN THE BOOT TO SPREAD THE LOAD EVEN FURTHER ACROSS THE BOOT FLOOR THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE NOW FINISHED MUST ADMIT I'M WELL CHUFFED AT THE WAY IT LOOKS JUST GOT THE 7 PIN SOCKET TO LOCATE SOMEWHERE

WELL BEEN FIDDLING ABOUT WITH THE PANELS AND DOORS TO GET THE GAPS RIGHT, BUT THATS DONE NOW, AND ALSO FITTING THE AS PROPERLY NOW AS IT WAS ONLY PUT IN ROUGHLY. SORTED THE HEATER MOUNTS COIL AND OTHER BITS PROPERLY THIS IS THE END OF THE DASH I HAVE CUT OFF WHAT DON'T NEED, AND THE BITS THAT GO UNDER THE STEERING COLUMN SUPPORT, SO IN THE FUTURE I DON'T HAVE TO STRIP THE CAR OUT JUST TO GET BEHIND IT FITTED WITH THE POD AND TRIUMPH GUAGES THE REST OF THE DASH FITTED, HOLES UT AND AIR GUAGES IN MADE A CARD TEMPLATE FOR THE GLOVE BOX INNER READY FOR THE MILLBOARD WHEN I GET IT NEXT UP IS THE TOWBAR ELECTRICS, MADE A BRACKET OUT OF STAINLESS MOUNTED IT TO THE BACK OF THE TOWBAR AND SLIGHTLY ANGLED IT BACK TUCKED UNDER NICE SO WHEN I TAKE THE BALL OF YOU WON'T SEE IT
